just another little thought was that when you book your test pick a time when it wont be peak hour or school kids rushing home it can havea bearing on how your test is best of luck

I had to sit my learners (paper test) then (year or so later) restricted (which was about 40mins) then another test a few years later for my full (which took the whole damn hour) I remember discussing this with my parents and my little sister last year And it would only just be 10 years 8 1/2 years since I got my full

Would it have been different 10 years ago cos you went straight from restricted to full after a period of time and didn't have to sit another test like you do now?

I did mine at westgate over 10 years ago And I did have to parallel park I didn't head towards Kumeu, I went the other way towards Massey I also went down Trig Road (as its an open road speed limit) There use to be (and i'm pretty sure I've still seen her there) an older lady who was an instructor, she was really helpful and friendly

I did mine there a "few" years ago and didn't have to do a parallel park - which I'm still not that great at! - but had to do a hill start, and backing around a corner - can't remember if I had to do a 3 pt turn though
I made a few mistakes but still passed!!!

Ok i did my licence at the westgate one it was quite a few years ago but i cant imagine they wouldv changed it much I may be mixing up my restricted and full a bit but You dont have to paralel park in either, you do have to 3 point turn and park normally They take you out from westagte around a couple of the streets and then up the road that goes to kumeu and you pull into a side street then back out onto the main road (i got beeped at doing this lol) Its not terribly difficult if you dont get too nervous hehe which is hard as the instructers are mean!!!

Hiya, im currently practisn to sit restricted as well, like u i have held a learners for 4 yrs I recommend you buy a book called 'HOW TO PASS NZ RESTRICTED DRIVING TEST ' off trademe, its $1900 but vedry much worth every cent as it shows u exactly what is in ur test and what is expected of u to pass It has the offical testing score papers n shows u how u are graded, and the best thing about this book is that if u read n apply theory into practise u are guaranteed to pass! Everything u need to know and need to pass is in this book, and its written by a nz certified driving instructor, making it easi for u n i to pass its awesome im nearly confident to set mine this month check out : wwwdrivingschool-onlineconz, u will b able to purschae booklet there Good luck, i cant wait to get mine 2!

if you can afford it, ring the learner driver teacher people they know all the courses - i did this and it cost me $40 for an hours lesson, basically you drive the course that the test route is and if there is anything you need 'fixing' up on they tell you and you have time to practice it :) well worth the $$

It's such a long time since I sat mine I can't really help Back then you had to do either a parallel park or a hill start or a three point turn The guy who did my test got me to do a hill start on a really steep street in a gutless old mini - I guess he figured that would be harder than parallel parking
Good luck! Having your license is a great liberating thing
