My wee man is suffering from a rash all over his body and I am assuming it could be his amber beads I have taken them off him but I was just wondering if you knew anyway to help the succinic acid pass trough his system any faster?

Yes, they can cause a reaction in some children The amber beads work through the absorption of succinic acid (which when it reaches a high enough level within the cells, lessens the amount of calcium available to the mitochondria, so they are unable to send pain signals as effeciently), but unfortunately some children react to the succinic acid and they can get rashes or excema
If the rash isn't bad, you could leave the beads there and see what happens, in some rash cases the rash goes away once the body learns to tolerant the extra succinic acid in the system, but that can take 3-4 weeks to happen
Otherwise, you'll just need to remove the beads and try something else

My 8 month old son has a rash around his chest too, I am unsure weather its from the teething necklace or dribble rash He wears a bib 24/7 (except when sleeping) as he dribbles like no tomorrow Have not used the necklace for a week now and rash is still there

If you wan to rule it out, wind the beads around an ankle and put a sock over it If he reacts again, you will know it's the beads They don't have to be worn near the jaw, their effect is systemic : )

just wondering, he isn't chewing on the beads is he? Sometimes they slober on them and the excessive saliva can cause a rash
