God I hate them!!!!! My DP is a shift worker and his pay is different every pay SO every fortnight I declare our income changes but we are forever getting letters re debt because they have over paid us SOOOOOO frustrating Not one staff member I speak to seems to have a brain in their head which makes any communication with them a nightmare It was suggested we over estimate our income to avoid debtIf I do that then we wont qualify for any subsidy plus they wouldn't pay out extra that we didn't receive, which I feel is unfair
So basically I work to pay childcare fees and winz debts :( I feel like I am being forced to be a sahm but I love my job and I want to work I don't feel very encouraged to work
Who else is in this situation? How do you feel about it?

Ds is a sole trader so his income fluctuates throughout the whole year Instead of having to keep re-adjusting it, we just opt for the lump sum option, which is where instead of getting weekly/fornightly, we get a large amount at the end of the tax year We go to them and show that we recieved XXXXXX amount this year and then they pay exactly what we're entitled to I'd rather wait to get the money instead of having to repay them, its the only way we've found to make sure we get exactly what we're entitled to

You should be able to get your income assessed quarterly or half yearly for your child care subsidy - rather than weekly/fortnightly Ask to speak to the childcare subsidy manager - I found case managers just didn't care enough to help as the CCS calculations were beyond them
