Just wondering what peoples opions were when it comes to cot brands i like the touchwood ones but they are very expensive!!!! (on another note, in peoples experience do they ever go on sale??)
i work in a day care centre and have seen som that are really crappy so am worried i stil gonna pay 400 for a load of junk
so whats a good cot thats not too expensive that does not feel like its gonna fall apart when you put the side down

After looking around in all the baby shops I ended up getting a pamco sleigh cot from the guy who advertises on TM He is based in ChCh and I went and looked at the cot first before buying I am extremely happy with it, it's an excellent sturdy cot at a fraction of the price of similar cots The cot was $295 + $120 for brand new inner sprung mattress Highly recommend it

I had my heart set on touchwood for years so when I eventually got pregnant my Mum said she'd pay for touchwood cot & drawers We have had so many problems, 1st the cot took 3wks longer to arrive than they said & the drawers 5 wks longer (arrived 2 days before i was due) Then less than a year after we bought them I noticed cracks in the base of the drawers & then panels of the cot! I contacted touchwood & the guy said they'd take a look at them to see if there is a material fualt but that means sending them to wellington & my DS will be with out a cot for 2-3wks! My friends cot has strange yellow stains coming through the white paint so hers has to go back too!
I wouldn't buy any touchwood ever again

we looked at touch wood cots but was way to expensive and just couldnt afford it so we brought one off trademe for $18100 Got the cot and put it up and its not completly stable and wobbles side to side dispite the description on the auction of the cot as hardly used and very good condition only used at grandparents house now i wish we spent a extra few dollars for a new one then we new exactly what we were buying this is our first baby so i hope i win this maternity leave competition and get a brand new cot for baby just for peace of mind that the cots not gona fall apart

we got ours from "The cot factory" They have a web site The cot has been fantastic and so strong The people at the cot factory jump on the cot to show you how well they are made Good system for putting the cot bar up and down they also do matching toy/blanket box and change table Well worth it

We have a pamco one Paid $285 new for it, plus $50 freight from CHCh, I am in Auckland I really like it I loved the touchwood, but could not justify the cost when this one does the job just fine Would rather spend the money on a nice bookshelf or something DD will use for years and years to come, but that is just my humble opinion!

I brought a touchwood one, because friends of ours had one and they recommended it - I'm so glad I brought it, I have no worries with it When bubs is out of it, we'll store it for BIL's kids
